DESCRIPTION
1st of two sessions $10 for both
The 2nd session in on September 20, 2-4 pm.
Plutus is a Greek comedy written in the 5th Century BC but is relevant in today’s world. It’s a kind of allegory about Chremylos, a poor man who befriends the blinded Plutus, god of wealth, and encourages him to distribute riches to the deserving and the virtuous. Where will this lead? Come experiment, play, and learn in this acting workshop with the expressive and playful professional Greek director, Glyka Stoiou. Plutus by Aristophanes is available to read online HERE and recommended for reading prior to workshop. Ages 12-16 welcome. Younger actors may also be welcome. Request permission at info@alaskaworldarts.org.
